How to get more experienced (part 2/2 Questing)

In addition to combat, you can also gain experience through the completion of quests, of which there are many through all level ranges, difficulty of combat or puzzles, and complexity. The questbook can be found one room west of the Square of Arrivals, or on the website. The questbook will describe each quest, and give you an indication of whether it requires combat, what level of player it is designed for and how complex it is.

Upon completing a quest, you'll be awarded quest experience, which is added to your total. Your quest experience can't exceed your combat experience, so any quest experience you earn over that amount is temporarily 'locked' until you get an equal amount of combat xp, essentially doubling your combat xp until you catch up.

How do I quest?
There is no specific command or action you have to take to start a quest. Read the description, head to the area or person described and start your investigations. Once you're in the right area, the best tools you have are the 'exa' command, the 'search' command and using 'say' to say relevent things to what seem like relevent NPCs. Look at everything, look at things described by looking at those things, maybe say 'help' to somebody who looks like they need help. The right actions are not always obvious right away, but if you read carefully, you'll get there in no time!

I need help!
While some quests can be quite complicated, and it can be difficult to know how to progress, it's very core to the questing experience in Midnight Sun that they be solved on your own. Once you know a solution the quests become extremely easy to complete, and it would be very hard to even give a hint without spoiling it.

As such, giving quest hints is against the rules (see 'help rules') and asking for quest hints is also against the rules. If you're having trouble with part of a quest, you can leave it for later, the parts you've already solved will be able to be re-solved quickly if you kept notes about what you did.
