On Wed Aug 19 02:53:50 1998 I had an interview with the famous
Xena Very wise Druid of the Seven Circles
Below is a literal representation of that conversation.

Shorleck: Tell something about yourself outside MS, what nationality
are
you, what do you do in your spare time from ms anything you want to
share
with us ?
Xena: I am dutch, and as most of you are probably aware, very male
IRL. When I am not playing MS I someimes play other games, a current
favourite is MechCommander. Also I like to do a spot of learning for
my study of Technical Informatics wich I follow at the Technical
University of Delft. I also read a lot of English Sci/Fi and Fantasy
books.

Shorleck: What is your favorite place within the realms of MS ?
Xena: My favourite place at the moment is the Robber forest. I can
kill the robber knights and when they're done take out the Chieftain.
By the time I'm finished with that the knights have reset and the
cycle starts again. An easy way to get a lot of exp & money in a short
time without having to think. :-)

Shorleck: What place do you hardly ever go to and why not ?
Xena: There are lots of places I don't visit very often. Apart from
the obvious newbie areas which I can no longer enter I am also quite
lacks at visiting drupacia, bazzinia and other such out of the way
areas. Also I rarely visit areas specially made for quests, since they
usually don't contain good killing potential like the robber forest.

Shorleck: From all the quests you did, which one did you enjoy the
most,

what made it special ?
Xena: I think I liked the MS orientation quest best. In part because
it was a relatively simple one that didn't include any wizard's
opinion of 'good' syntax, but mostly because it really forced me to
travel all over MS and take a good look at the different areas.

Shorleck: What is your favourite weapon and why ?
Xena: My favourite weapon without a doubt is the Stormbringer. I like
it because it is probably the best weapon a player of my level can
wield, but also because of the wheatstone. Many players think it's a
bore to have to sharpen it, but I like the idea of fighting gnollie
and then (mentally) asking him to wait a minute while you sharpen your
sword... It adds character that none of the other weapons can match.

Shorleck: Which monster is your biggest enemy ?
Xena: Well, that would have to be Xavier, wouldn't it. Trying to get

SB can be very dangerous as that is usually done at a time in the game
when armour and weapons are still in short supply. I'm glad to say he
has only killed me once, though. :-)

Shorleck: What goals have you set for yourself here in MS, are you
here for
chatting or you want to play or striving for wizhood ?
Xena: Hmm, I think I'm doing all three. I chat a lot and play cards
with my friends, but I'm also quite keen on raising and have every
intention of reaching at least level 16. By the time I've done that
(still a long way off) I think I will take a shot at the spire.

Shorleck: Is there anything else you would like to add ?
Xena: First off, I'd like to thank all the wizards & admins for making
the wonderfull world of the midnight sun. It really is a pleasure to
come here whenever I have time and bash a few robbers. I would also

like to thank Ender for introducing me to this mud over a year ago.

brutally slain by A house soldier. MS will be pursuing the details
of this death to see if criminal charges should be filed.

- It has been discovered that a nasty altercation with A big
powerful demon has resulted in the untimely death of Skifter on Aug
18 20:41:59.

- It has been discovered that a nasty altercation with An ogre-guard
has resulted in the untimely death of Egresh on Aug 18 09:37:14.

- Midnight Sun Mourns the passing of Alduin, who was taken from the
realms of the living on Aug 18 13:01:46 by a lifeless zombie.

- A rescue party was sent to the lair of Cougar to recover the body
of Falinor. The autopsy shows that the estimated time of death was

Aug 18 18:15:55.

- Grey Plume guard and Dahlen got involved  in a heated argument,
which resulted in Dahlen's death at Aug 19 16:52:49.

- Midnight Sun Mourns the passing of Goldeneye, who was taken from
the realms of the living on Aug 19 20:16:30 by A cave troll.

- MS suffered a tragic loss Aug 18 22:05:19 when Merkandrick was
brutally slain by Woodsman. MS will be pursuing the details of this
death to see if criminal charges should be filed.

- Midnight Sun Mourns the passing of Racha, who was taken from the
realms of the living on Aug 19 00:40:53 by Conan the Protector of
the War Monk Monastery.

- It is with great sadness that we report the unexpected death of
Loran at the hands of Satyr on Aug 19 09:56:53. It appears to be a
case of self defense.

- Midnight Sun Mourns the passing of Moonspirit, who was taken from
the realms of the living on Aug 19 21:14:05 by Harman, the cave
goblin.

- It has been discovered that a nasty altercation with A majestic
stag has resulted in the untimely death of Dorregarrey on Aug 18
12:20:46.

- A rescue party was sent to the lair of Kobold guard to recover the
body of Warsblood. The autopsy shows that the estimated time of
death was Aug 19 21:45:44.

- a farmyard goose and Xaos got involved  in a heated argument,
which resulted in Xaos's death at Aug 18 22:28:39.
