On Fri Mar 17 04:40:21 2000 I had an interview with the famous
Tsarkon The Emissary of the Wamphyri (satanic)
Below is a literal representation of that conversation.

Shorleck: Tell something about yourself outside MS, what nationality
are
you, what do you do in your spare time from ms anything you want to
share
with us ?
Tsarkon: I'm an american.  My line of work is in System Administration
and Webmastering for E-Commerce sites, but my plans are to go back to
college for a major in Theoretical Astrophysics. After which, I have
no idea what I'll do with my degree in it, but it's what I love and
have always planned to do, so I guess its use is secondary, really.

Shorleck: What is your favorite place within the realms of MS ?

Tsarkon: Mordant, of course. If it wasn't, then I'd have to seriously
doubt the way I was going about making it, since it is my goal to make
an area that is considered a favorite of players, as well.

Shorleck: What place do you hardly ever go to and why not ?
Tsarkon: That would be the Priests' Guild.  It's mostly because I
can't send my greetings to the priests of MS by introducing Chansobal
to my gauntlet of the wamphyri anymore. I have a deal with Lathander
now: I am allowed to openly torment and humiliate the priests of his
order without consequence in exchange for leaving Chansobal alone. It
seemed like a fair deal, so I agreed to the terms.

Shorleck: From all the quests you did, which one did you enjoy the
most,
what made it special ?
Tsarkon: Definitely Aaga quest. At the time I completed it, it was a

requirement in order to become a wizard, so I pictured it as a very
powerful quest. It was a key that unlocked the door to immortality. It
was more than that, though; it was the sum of who I was as a player on
MS, because it tested the skills and knowledge that I had acquired in
my time as a player up to that point. There were other quests that
were great, but this one definitely stands out from the others for me
even though its significance has faded with the passage of time.

Shorleck: What is your favourite weapon and why ?
Tsarkon: Well, as a great strategist from long ago once said, "Weapons
are inauspicious instruments, not the tools of the enlightened. When
there is no choice but to use them, it is best to be calm and free
from greed, and not celebrate victory. Those who celebrate victory are
bloodthirsty..." Anyway, I digress. I'd say it would have to be my
gauntlet. ;p

Shorleck: Which monster is your biggest enemy ?
Tsarkon: That would have to be the alternate-Jordinho. On the outside
he looks like a big softy, but when people aren't looking (or when I'm
looking... but I I repeat myself) he attempts to turn back into his
natural form--a grotesque creature with a gleaming smile, slicked-back
hair and a "hey there!" attitude. It's his ego. He has a symbiotic
relationship with it, but it sometimes takes over. That's where I come
in. I keep his ego in check so that he can remain the Jordi that you
all know and... love? But that's okay, I'm comfortable remaining an
unsung hero.  ;p

Shorleck: What goals have you set for yourself here in MS, are you
here for
chatting or you want to play or striving for wizhood ?
Tsarkon: Well, the latter part of your inquiry makes me question
whether you had a serious head injury as a child, Shorleck, but I'll

just pretend you didn't say it... My plans are to complete my area,
which is named Mordant. Though my area will contain a large scope of
enemies and puzzles that will be designed for newbies up to lords,
there will be parts that will test the endurance and and wits of even
the strongest. Cowards would best stay away from those parts.

Shorleck: Is there anything else you would like to add ?
Tsarkon: Yes. Long live the true Wamphyri. You know who you are.

- It is with great sadness that we report the unexpected death of
Ishmael at the hands of A villager on Mar 15 17:17:58. It appears to
be a case of self defense.

- A rescue party was sent to the lair of Lasarus to recover the body
of Cruncher. The autopsy shows that the estimated time of death was
Mar 15 14:40:17.

- It is with great sadness that we report the unexpected death of
Cpiccolo at the hands of A grey wolf on Mar 16 00:44:49. It appears
to be a case of self defense.

- gnoll guard and Shamutz got involved in a heated argument, which
resulted in Shamutz's death at Mar 16 12:56:58.

- It has been discovered that a nasty altercation with Leo the

Arch-wizard (deadly) has resulted in the untimely death of Boeowulf
on Mar 16 09:37:30.

- Midnight Sun Mourns the passing of Muttn, who was taken from the
realms of the living on Mar 16 20:18:47 by watch guard.

- Fierce fireplant and Blade got involved in a heated argument,
which resulted in Blade's death at Mar 16 02:22:01.
